Walk 45 or 450 miles to support people experiencing housing insecurity and homelessness
This summer, a group of companions, Chloe, Carlton, Jagger & Peter, who are all supported by Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney, are walking 450 miles across the country to raise funds and help more people out of homelessness.
Our team of companions, along with our CEO, Cecile Roberts will be walking for 6 weeks starting on August 26th from St David’s in Wales and arriving back at our charity’s home in Ditchingham on October 10th - World Homeless Day.
The Walk of Kindness follows the route of the newly formed Via Beata pilgrimage which runs directly through our site in Ditchingham. View the full route here.

At Emmaus we offer more than just a bed for a night, we offer a reason to get out of it in the morning. Companions are welcomed into our community and given the support & work experience opportunities they need to get back on their feet.
Watch Chloe's story below - the money you raise will transform more lives like hers.

To ensure our charity can grow to support more companions, we are opening a social enterprise Bed and Breakfast within our heritage 19th century site. The new B&B will be critical for supporting our companions to gain a more diverse set of skills, at the same time, enabling our charity to grow and develop further much-needed income streams.
Once open, the annual income from one B&B room will provide someone who has experienced homelessness with a home and therapeutic support for a whole year. This will include bespoke training to help get companions back on their feet and support more people year after year. Learn more about our Bed & Breakfast project and our progress here.
Your fundraising will help us to open the B&B and create impactful change year-on-year. Register for the Kindness Challenge and stride to make change alongside us.
